The Netherlands could not be stopped on Wednesday evening in sports hall Activum in Hoogeveen for 1200 spectators. The Dutchies grabbed the Estonian men by the throat from the start and never let go. It became the first 3-0 victory in the series of the group stage in the Golden European League.

The men's title fight is incredibly exciting. In an atmospheric Martini Plaza, Achterhoek Orion managed to strike tonight after two lost sets against reigning Dutch champion Abiant Lycurgus: 2-3 (25-17, 25-13, 23-25, 29-31, 11-15). That gives a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five series and so Orion can win the league title in-house next Sunday.
